Is September generally a slow month here on Etsy?

Just was wondering about others sales for this month as mine slowed quite a bit this month. I'm still fairly new to Etsy so was hoping to get some feedback from other sellers.

August and September are generally slow because of back to school. everyone is busy going back to school, getting their kids back to school or going back to work themselves. it'll pick back up for the holidays soon :)

I've had a terribly slow month. Its been quite depressing. I've been focusing all my energy designing new products and holiday cards for the upcoming holidays. Hopefully we will all have more sales soon :)

Thanks for the feedback! August was good for me and Sept was off to a good start but it seems like it's completely dies off the past week and a half or so. I have been working on new items for the holidays etc.

The beginning of Sept. was very busy, now, not so much. Eh, I'm sure that's normal for the most part.

My shop is less than two months old so I'm not quite sure how busy it gets during September. I've had 5 sales total, one of which was today ;)

I went on vacation mode on June 10th and came back Sept 1st. The 1st week back, no sales. 2nd week back 2 sales. 3rd week back 3 sales. 4th week back now, 1-3 sales per day. It's looking busier and I'm keeping my eyes, fingers and toes crossed! :o) I've been listing new items daily and relisting items that were sold (to make again) and chat here on the forums and post several times a day to my fb fan page. Keeping busy promoting the best that I can... And am sponsoring two give-aways too.

For me, views arre down but sales are up, particularly custom orders.

We had a fantastic August (although I'm sure it was due to our huge back to school sale on our lunch bags), but September has been S-L-O-W!!! My views and favorites are way down from last month. But again, last month was so crazy busy, I guess I'm not surprised. But I do hope it picks up again soon.

I think it depends what you're selling. I tend to do well in the wedding-related area May-Sept. Then, when the temperatures cool down and people start thinking about holiday gift-giving, interest in my handwoven housewares start to pick up. One month is never really quite the same as the last. ;)

I know with everything there are highs and lows so I figured it's not always going to be busy... although it would be fantastic if it was! Needless to say I had a lady contact me last night for a custom order for 3 items! Yahoo!

Yes PetuniaandIvy - September has been sloooow for me too! I was surprised when August was so busy so I thought that would continue in September, but no such luck. Corssing fingers for October and into the holidays!

For me the views for this month have been an all time low. Guess it's time to get busy in preperation for the Holidays! Hope things pick up soon for all of us!

It really varies shop to shop. While my shop may not have been busy by other peoples' standards, for me, this has been a busy month.
