Is 100 really the "magic number"?

Can anybody with experience tell me about this? I've seen it referenced here and there, but can't find a good solid article on it or anything. I'm just wondering if it helps that much to be at 100 items instead of say, 50 or 60. I have been up to about 65 at one point, but it is pretty slow going for me. I've got several things in the works and am making 100 my goal, but I guess I'd like to hear some success stories from people who saw change in their sales after hitting the 100 mark.

Thanks!

There is no magic number, but more choices are more choices and a better chance at being found in search and a better chance at a sale or multiple sales.

i've heard that too , but i think that that reference was to the google search. but as jean say more choices. I've noticed that when i stay above 60 items that i do get more sales, but i really believe its because theres more variety.
