I've come to understand that here on Etsy sales are not directly proportional to views. BUT (you notice it's a big one :P) obviously the more views one has the higher the chances of a sale. And ultimately our marketing efforts (facebook, twitter, blog ads, active on teams, treasury making etc ) are all for one purpose: increase traffic, increase views in the hopes that they translate into sales.
Lately my views hovered around 30-50 a day. I haven't been doing much, listing every other day and perhaps participating in the team discussions. On a good day when I'm featured in a treasury my views can go up to a 100.
So I've set myself a new goal, increase views to at least 300 a day! Is it doable? Yes, it just requires more engagement. Play a bit of the 'favorite item above' games, participate in teams, be active on social networks and just spend some good time on this Etsy thing that really drives me crazy sometimes!
I do ask myself if it's worth my time cuz really if I worked minimum pay somewhere I'd make a ton more money than I do here on Etsy! But ultimately I do it cuz it's fun: ) And I don't let my focus on sales take that away from me. It started as fun, and will continue to be fun. Now let's get out there and increase our views and hopefully our sales too!
