Re: Image quality, please critique

Just a quick glance and two tips. First, some of your images are getting cropped by Etsy when viewed in your store. That means they get cropped in search as well. Try taking the photo with a bit more of a boarder so that the whole item is in the first image.

Second, in this photo:

I'd love to see the first one without the quarter. Using a quarter or another standard object helps show the size, but is distracting for the first photo.

You have lovely work. Keep it up!

I think your images are lovely- the only thing I would like to see is maybe the bracelets being shown on a wrist to get a real accurate sense of size and how it would look on.

i like how your photos are very clear. they may be just a bit too bright. are you using foto fuze? i almost want to squint when i look at your main page. the composition is great and the photos clear.

I think your pictures look fab! Depends on your computer as to how they show up. They look great on mine. You have some beautiful pieces. I know titles and tags, titles and tags, titles and tags are the key. They say list as many items you can, and then list more. I hope you are selling your items some where other than etsy, or at least promoting them on facebook, etc. You have some really great pieces.

I think your photos look great on my computer. I'm with Aimie, no quarters in first photos please. I often look to my favourites when compiling a treasury but I'll generally leave an item out if has a distracting coin or a ruler.

Re: Image quality, please critique

Please don't use coins, for a start I don't know how big a quarter is as I haven't seen one for 5 years and definitely nothing for measurement gauging as your primary image.

My problem is I was in need of my glasses to look at the page for long as it is so bright. I don't think this has anything to do with the images themselves it is because there is no banner to calm down the brightness of the page. Even having more inventory would help fill up the page a bit.

Fill out your shop announcement ASAP as incomplete will affect SEO and your shop listing will look very odd on Google at the moment.

I agree with the others on the brightness, and without reading their comments yet, that was my first impression. It looks like your hitting the brightness too hard in your image editor. A little bit goes a long way in photo editing. Otherwise, I'd say they look pretty good.

Re: Image quality, please critique

As for me, I think your photos look pretty awesome! I am also working on revamping my pictures as I have been told some of my backgrounds were too distracting, so i am slowly working my way through to edit some existing item photos, but to also keep the same with new items I post.
I have to play around cause at times it is fine to just adjust the exposure on my point and shoot, other times I find I need to adjust the brightness....

I am hoping with the new pics the views and therefore sales will pick up.
What do you think so far guys/gals?
Otherwise...REALLY BEAUTIFUL WORK!!..keep it up!
