Etsy Search Ads? yay ir nay

Is it worth it? Has anyone had experience with the etsy search ads. How is it different than just tagging my stuff? Thanks :)

I've tried it and am running a search ad right now, but I've not really seen any huge success. I'm doing one now because I've added some new products and wanted to get them a bit more exposure, but I think it's a bit iffy.

Maybe it is worth a lot if you are willing to spend a lot. I spent $8.15 total over a few weeks. I had a total of 10,049 impressions,66 views,and only 6 favorites from that! I might try it again sometime,maybe,maybe not.

ive not tried it but i've heard it's a gamble and usually doesn't work. I rather search engine optimization great and FREE results :)

I think it depends on the item and the category. I used it on all of the items in my shop when I first started out. I spent over $30 and only got one $10 sale from it. It did increase my views, but not by that much. I'm currently only running a search ad for my vintage ring. Today, it got 13 views from search ads, but only 23 total. So it helps, but the views aren't exactly pouring in. It's not that expensive though, so you might just want to try it for a week and see how it works for your products.

I've tried it twice and didn't brought me many views and I got no sales either

i used them 4 times, each time spending $5 for 7 days

the first time, i got a sale - i was thrilled
the second time, another sale - again i was thrilled
the third and fourth time - nothing. not even many views

impressions are useless. views are nice, sales are even better. one sale for $5 made me happy, and to me it was worth it, but overall i would say pass on the etsy search ads.

I've been trying them since they started. I did well the first couple of weeks, but other than that, lots of impressions and a few favourites. I've decided to stop running them & to save my money for facebook & google ads instead.

I've spent much on it... it doesn't work. Apart from that, a few weeks ago, I posted a similar thread in this group (I can give you the link, if you like) and everybody's opinion were like here: they aren't that useful, they are not worth the money.

I've tried twice and had negligible views and only a handful of likes. No sales. For every 20c I spent on search ads I should have spent on renewing items. Has more of an impact on my views.

I tried them, and I got more views than normal, but no sales. I have tried showcase a couple times and I got less views, but more people ended up "liking" my stuff. I have no idea what that means. I think it definitely draws some more people to you shop. You just have to hope that it draws the right person who is ready to buy!

I tried it for a week last month with lousy results. It was a gamble but I won't waste my money on it again.
