If someone gave you $500 to invest on your business...

Hey guys! I don't know if this question's been asked before... I stumbled upon this http://www.blacksburgbelle.com/2014/12/how-to-have-your-best-year-yet-a-big-announcement/ post by an Etsy seller/member https://www.etsy.com/people/BlacksburgBelle?ref=owner_profile_leftnav about growing your business, and the first strategy that's suggested is to invest in your business. So... I was wondering:

a. What was the best investment you made on your Etsy business?
b. Or, if you're a fledling seller like me, if someone gave you $500 to invest, or $50 for that matter, how would you spend it?

Thanks for sharing!

Velvet. I've been wanting to do a line of Velvet hats, but really good velvet is also really expensive.

A tax specialist to see how I can comply with the new EU VAT rules coming into effect in a few working days. As far as I know I should pack my bags and leave Etsy since I can't comply. Nor can any other digital seller on Etsy delivering to the EU....

The best investment I have made is my time. I would get my Kiln fixed and invest in more products to list.

Re: If someone gave you $500 to invest on your business...

Definitely a CAMERA! Mine is over 10 years old and makes people in camera shops laugh.

After that, materials to get my big kiln up and working again. I've only got my little kiln right now and grateful to have it.

And after that I want a window put into one wall of my studio.
And more glaze materials.
And so on and so forth.
I could spend $500 many times over! LOL
