My name is Dana, and I have been creating stuff since I was 5 when my sister taught me how to do needlepoint and cross stitch. I got into jewelry about 18 yrs ago when my son was little and sold items at our local flea market. I just recently got back into making items for myself rather than someone else. I was diagnosed with cancer for the 2nd time in July and have been unable to work since, and decided to start back up more as therapy, but so many people were asking about my items I decided to open up a shop here.
Some of my other hobbies, besides the needlepoint, cross-stitch, and jewelry making are hiking, reading, writing short stories and poetry, and spending time with my family and friends.

I love earrings and necklaces the most. I get my inspiration from either things I would like to have, or seeing something in a magazine or television that I can build upon. Nature and expressions of love are a large part of my inspiration.
My business is fairly new. I just opened my shop Jan 7th 2013, and have only had 4 sales, but I have had quite a bit of traffic (2,933 views and 1547 likes). It is slow going at the present time, but I am hopeful and looking forward to the future.
I have been in retail and small business for quite a long time. Networking is always important. Another great piece of advise is whatever your product or service is, if you can wear it, or have it physically with you or the ability to show the service anywhere you go, you must market that way. It is the best advertising.
I would love to see my shop grow to where I can afford and live off a brick and mortar shop as well as my etsy shop. I dream HUGE :D
