I am trying to come up with a new banner. I have had critiques before and my banner has always been an issue. I just put in a new one and wanted some feedback.

While this is nice when I took a look at your shop you have some gorgeous modern vibrant fun pieces like the green pink pin cushion and funky printed owls etc... Would it be possible to have a clean white banner with pop's of those print's? just a thought:-)

I like it, but I agree with Silverlily that a white one with some of your products would be better since you have such cool looking items.

It's a great generic banner, but I agree with the posters above, it doesn't really reflect the feel of your shop. I'm all about having a banner/avatar that will make people remember what your shop represents.

I agree with Silverlily as well. My first thought was ... "OK, this looks alright". But then when I looked at your items ... I changed my mind. I felt EXACTLY what Silverlily, Ariella & Natasha felt ... that some of your items are more 'modern', like the owls. Your colors really "POP" so I would want to see the banner kind of echo that. I think if you use bolder colors (and maybe some of the big, colorful flower motifs ... it will better reflect your shop. Hope this helps, Chris?

Thank you for your advice. I really am challenged when it comes to making banners. I found these generic ones already made and thought I would try it. I am going to try my hand at some of my own photos...... thanks!

I agree with the last posts...a plain background with a photo or two of your own products would be perfect. I like your first product listing, the colors and background are great. It's pretty easy to make an avatar with irfan view. You can download the program for free and open any image in irfan view by tight clicking the image in windows. Once opened, change size and type in your store name, choose font and size and your good to go.
