Hello,
I'm mid-new to Etsy, and I tried different business here and end up going back to photography, because I simply don't mind spending hours on it! It's a passion first. I'm also a photographer outside of Etsy and one of my dream like many of us is to be able to live from my art, here and out.
Anyways, I did a lot of changes to the shop, and made some choices: not including my own picture, but including description, including free uk delivery, not doing £xx,99.
Items description are the hardest, I don't like the "blabla" about the images(even if some people are talented with writing), my pictures here on Etsy are simple, delicate and colourful, I can't lie and put a story behind it, it would not make any sense to me unless it's real. I don't think that silence is a bad thing sometimes.
I only got few items in the shop, I'm scared to add lots here and well, not even selling the half.
I'm also aware that things people "can use" sell more than just a decoration on the wall.. At least at the begging. I got some new images I'm retouching at the moment, I'm trying to rebuild my style as I stopped taking pictures for a year, but this is an other story.
What I'm trying to say is I need some feedback now :D my stats are good, I think the pricing is not too bad for free delivery.. but 1 sale, boom, not good.
How do you target your cliental??? I know mine are mostly female, but it's SO difficult, it's not like I'm doing clothes for babies or something that specifics. It does change with my mood, there is something humain behind it even if I try to control it, and make it looking smarter everyday.
I want to stay in photography and sell prints, not doing t-shirt, bags, mugs etc with pictures on it. Maybe 10% of the shop, not more.
I'm looking forward to hear your feedbacks, to see if I'm in the right place or not. Just give me the first 3sec impressions, WOULD YOU BUY FROM MY SHOP?
Okay. Many thanks for reading.... my long and boring roman xxx night everyone, Samin
