I feel very disheartened and embarrassed to admit that I have not sold anything. I have found that no one really looks at my shop. I'm at a loss of what to do to make the situation better. I have joined several teams and still to no avail. I apologize for the negative vibes, I would appreciate any advice of what other steps I should take to attract people to my shop.

Hi Sam,
You definetely need to go back and read our repeated posts on the same topic- Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Your titles are too short, and not what a buyer woukd type in for a search. And you need some longer tags, don't keep them all to single words.
Your drawings are unique and well done, maybe you just need to find a market for them, like cards. Someone who sells prints may have advice, but you need to work the Halloween angle this time of year, for sure. You'll get more views.
As for the dolls, I say add even more character to them, and you will be able to charge more for the effort if you find your buyer.

I also suggest working on your SEO. Instead of using single word tags, use tags like: Creepy Dolls, Creepy Gifts, Creepy Decor, Gothic Art, Halloween Gifts, etc...

A few weeks ago I felt I was also in a slump. After working on SEO, adding listings and updating photographs, someone mentioned the magic number to get more traffic to your shop is 100 listings. Sure enough, soon after I reached 100+ listing, I noticed an increase in views, favorites and sales. Good luck!

As well as what other have said regarding SEO, You need to improve your photos by sizing them 1000x1000 pixles, and use all 5 images if you can. I noticed you didn't give any dimensions for your doll, this is a must.

Keep adding items to your shop. The more the merrier and the easier you will be to find. I see you opened in 2016....how long have you actually been open? I was open for over 3 months before I made my first sale. Do not get discouraged, but you do have a lot of work ahead of you to improve the search-ability of your items.

I'd also want to add that you need to do your own promotion such as using Pinterest, IG, etc. to bring traffic to your shop.

I really love your printed art work. There is a real niche for your style of art.

How long have you been open? You have to give yourself some time to work out the kinks of your shop (like learning SEO and how and where to market your shop). So take this time and learn about that stuff and tweak it in your shop.

And you only have a few items in your shop. The more items you add, the more traffic you will get into your shop. Some people said that they saw a great increase of traffic when they hit 100 items.

So learn SEO and marketing techniques, go market your shop, and keep on adding. I promise if you work on that, they will come. :)

And trust me, its easy to give up. I've been there many times! I'm in a lull right now myself and trying to get myself back into it. So try not to give up! It'll be worth it. :)

I am rather new to Etsy. I have only had my shop open for a few months. Thank you everyone for your suggestions! I've already made some changes for the better to my shop. Create an Etsy Shop Board on Pinterest with your Shop Name & also a Doll Board & maybe a Collectible Doll Gift board and pin all your dolls to all 3 boards. Add any other boards that your items will go with & add to them. As you search Pinterest add other things to mingle with your items to add interest, but keep your Etsy Shop board just your own items. You will start seeing Pinterest searches in your shop.
Work your shop EVERY day...tweak listings, change titles or tags. Add new items daily. Have a sale using Etsy On Sale - you don't have to put your whole shop on sale. It brings lots of new customers in.

Same here. new on etsy, maybe 2,3 months, but i dont understand how to promote good and this SEO seems difficult..do you guys renew your items?? does it help? and do you pay Etsy to promote you? i have facebook page and etsy shop, i would't like to be on more social pages like instagram, pinterest or twitter, i hope its not necessery..
i would appreciate any suggestion..

I have instagram, @HerDirtyDishes, and I get more business there than anywhere else. I'm actually shipping to Amsterdam, BECAUSE of Instagram, so maybe it's worth a shot!
