Ok people told me to add more items to my shop... i did that.. people told me to change my titles... i did that. Ok so I have had my shop open for 4 months and no sales! WHATS WRONG?

Hi Abby,

I would improve the photos. The background is gray in many of them and they are very dark. They don't bring out the beauty of your hair clips.

I would say- don't listen what everybody tells you, just take a joyride on Etsy and study some "successful stores". PS. I LOVE your banner.

I would still work on your titles a little - use scrunchie as your first word and then the colors and repeating your title three times in your description also helps. I have also read that unless your item is very specific, don't use the option to choose who it is for...that limits who will see your product. I don't know how true that it, but I don't use that option very often when listing a product. Hope some of this helps. Don't give up - there are lots of other sellers out there creating similar products. You will get found:)

Your items are good, your prices are fair but your pictures and descriptions are still in need of work.
Last week when you posted I suggested you look at other shops that sell bows to see how to improve yours. I still hold to that suggestion.

I think it's your photos - aside from being on the darker side, they're not cohesive. There are too many different backgrounds, so it looks confusing. Trying taking the photos on a solid background (preferrably white) and then brighten them up in photoshop (picnik.com is super easy to use - photos brighten in just one click of the exposure button). Try turning the bows in the same direction and take close shots using the macro setting on your camera. You want the shop to look as uniform and cohesive as possible.

Also, as Natasha suggested, take a look at successful bow shops that you admire and take notes on what they're doing in terms of descriptions, tags, and photos.

I just searched hair bows. I got 155,999 items. You have 26 items in your store. Your bows are the needles in the etsy hay stack!

You need more items in your shop.

also, your pictures need work. Why are some of your bows sideways? That doesn't appear very professional.

Try taking your pictures on a white bristol board beside a north facing window (or any window on a bright cloudy day). Even then, I would brighten the pictures in PhotoShop a little.

Your descriptions need a little more oomph. Tell me about shipping. Tell me if there are other bows like it available. Tell me if you can make it in larger quantities. Tell me if you are willing to customize it.

Your Policies have spelling mistakes, and are in need of some grammatical correction. Also, don't sound so harsh in regards to returns... the people who shop on etsy are generally adults - no need to scold! Also, erase the part about discounts - right off the bat there you are devaluing your work!
