I have a question

I listed a new item and for some reason, there has not been any views when I know for sure people have seen it. It's the penguin gift tags. I have even clicked on it myself and it doesn't compute that it has been seen. Did I do something wrong?

I'm not so sure that your views will be counted for your own listings. And how do you know for sure people have seen it? Have they seen it in your shop but not clicked? Etsy has recently changed the way our item views are counted. They no longer register views from bots or web crawlers, so your views may seem lower but they are accurate. :) Maybe try promoting outside of Etsy to bring in more views???

I popped in and said hello to your penguins too :-) Looks like the counter is working.
I’m just glad that I opened my shop after the bots and things were no longer being counted as visitors. The gradual slow build up of visitors is my normality. It must be very disconcerting if you were used to instantly having what looked like healthy visitor numbers.
I’m experimenting with a couple of my items by only having a glimpse of the whole thing as the main photo in the hope that people will actually click on it to see what it is. So far, I can’t tell if it’s made much difference one way or another.

don't worry too much about the counters...just do what you love, interact with others on Etsy and have fun!
