How would you search for my items?

So I'm struggling maxing out on Etsy SEO. I get a lot of views from Google, but I just can't figure out what people on Etsy are searching for when it comes to hair accessories. I've tried typing what I make into the bar, but those keywords haven't seemed to work yet.

How would you all search for my items?

I would use the word star-shapped hair pins. Then by color to be specific.

An example of a title:

Hair Pin - Star-Shapped Rainbow Color....

bobbies, kitsch, kawaii, teen, punk, retro, ...

I could be off here, but this is what springs to my mind.

If I knew I wanted a star I'd probably search star hair accessories (or heart).

If I didn't I may search bobby pins as they are called here. Though that search is huge and may in fact be your problem.

If I typed in Bobby pin, star- one of yours came up on the first pg and several on the second.

If I was looking for your items, I would just search "star hairpin" and if I wanted a specific color, add that to the front. =)

Also, what Lani said. Maybe punk or kawaii.

If I were looking for items like yours, I might search star hair clip, star hair pin, star bobby pin, funky hair clip, funky hair pin.

I have an opposite problem - the majority of my views come from Etsy! only a few from outside sources, comparatively!

Have you tried the Google Keyword Tool? It's pretty awesome. I typed in "star hairpin" to see what else they come up with for keywords. Here's a few that might work for you.

star hair clips
star hair pin
hair ornament
hair barrettes
hair jewelry
hair accessories

I might search for geeky hair pins, because I often search for geeky ______ on Etsy. Also, are you reworking your tags currently? I looked at a few of your listings and you have a lot of one word tags, but multi-word phrases like the ones people on here are giving you make better tags. All apologies if that's what you're in the midst of doing.

On a side note, I LOVE your hair pins. They make me wish I were a hair pin person :)
