How would you package this????

Hello everyone!

I make some guestbooks in my shop that are 3D hearts or trees and I put the hearts or leaves on matboard and stick it all in a 10x10 or 20x20 shadowbox frame.

I was just asked by a couple of customers if I sell the guestbook without the frame and they would buy their own to save on shipping.

I have been brainstorming how I can package the matboard so that the 3D stuff doesn't get crushed during shipping. The frame always protects it nicely!

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Monica

Hi Monica,

You could double-box it.

So, you would box the book in a smaller box, which would then go in a bigger box, surrounded by bubble wrap and foam peanuts.

I do this for fragile ceramic pieces. Just make sure that the inner box can't shift at all within the bigger box.

I would use chipboard pads and then ship in a box that it fits in with little wiggle room so that it doesn't shift much during transit
