How to promote on facebook

How can I promote my site on facebook? I do have a facebook account but I have no traffic. Any ideas??

Hi,

I have Facebook and Twitter accounts. Just posted a few new items for Cyber Monday at Etsy. I then clicked on each Facebook and Twitter Icons from the Etsy site which then clicks over to each account.

Item is then posted at which time jot down sale, sale, sale or whatever you would like. Quite fun!

But how do you get people to see your site? I do not have any traffic at all on my facebook site. Should I pay for advertising?

I use facebook and LIKE items to go there but no traffic for sales from FB. I do not use Twitter. I'm not convinced that FB helps.

I have a FB page under my other shop name and I have the same problem.
I hate to use my personal FB page to promote, I am thinkimg it's too pushy? I have made a album with items in it and telling where to find these on Etsy, I get alot of likes.... well that's not working either.
So I guess I have no answer............
