How to get noticed?

Hello,

I'm new to Etsy! I just listed my items yesterday and was wondering how to bring traffic to my shop. What do you use to get noticed? (websites, business cards, etc)

Also, any feedback on my shop would be appreciated. What should I do differently?

I have a facebook for my shop and a blog. I created my blog way before opening my etsy shop but I've added an etsy mini to it now.
I know people use twitter to promote too.
Create treasuries, not adding your items of course. Send a convo to the ones you have included, they will visit your treasuries and probably your shop too. If they like it they could add you to their favorites and you will be featured in their treasuries :)
Join teams. There are great people around Etsy and we help to promote each other.
ok, I don't know what else...you need to promote a lot to bring traffic, promote here, with friends, whit people you know, etc.

I'm active in the forums, I tried to get over 100 items listed as quickly as possible, I have a following from local shows and I wear my jewelry everywhere and hand out a card when someone compliments me on it. Then just be patient....... (that's the hard part)

I'm pretty new too, i think the idea is to be part of teams, join in with discussions and use things like facebook, twitter and word of mouth as promotion tools also. I hear a lot about getting as many items in your shop as possible. Also it helps if you have choosen good key words so that you get a lot of search traffic coming through also.

Hi...I, too am trying SO hard to get noticed. I opened my shop in April & took a break throughout the summer & started working on it again last month.

I have joined lots of teams, have a twitter, FB, stumble, blog...particpate in BNRs & BNSs...I am just up to 11 sales so far, & the majority of them have come from within Etsy. I also try to add a variety of items & use the right tags & titles so I can be found in searches.

It's always good to help each other out, too! I will fave some of your items so my circle can see your stuff! Hope that helps & good luck!!! :-)

I too, promote everywhere. I hand out cards, twitter, Facebook, do craft shows, etc. As of now, my local following is strongest. My friends always get handmade stuff from me for birthdays or Christmas (with plenty of my business cards to go with it) and I wear my pieces everywhere. I find word of mouth to be my best advertisement so I like to keep everyone talking by constantly making new pieces and showing them off to whoever will listen and look.

Definitely social media. Twitter, Facebook, stumbleupon, pinterest, tumblr and many many more. Etsy isn't a 'if you build it they will come' type of place. There are way too many shops for that so make sure you get your name out there and all the time! We do the social media and local craft shows and hand out lots of business cards. We sell a lot more at shows than online though.
