How to get my items viewed

Hello everyone!
I am very new to Etsy and just wanted to know how I can improve my Shop and get more views. I have only gotten 8 today, which is pretty sad! I have a twitter, facebook and even a blog. I have tried promoting, got more views, but no sale. I would just like some advice from those who have been here longer. I now I haven't paid my dues yet, but would love to see some traffic at least. Thanks for any advice, I appreciate it!

You have lovely things, however jewelry (I'm sure you've heard) is a very saturated market on Etsy, so do whatever you can to make your work as original as possible. Business is slow right now, people have just spent alot on back-to-school, but holiday will of course pick up soon!

Take time now to update your Profile and fill in your About page.

First thing I saw that needs attention is your listing titles. I wouldn't encourage the word "beaded" as being your first word. Your first three words should be keywords. What exactly is your item in three words? Then, use the rest of the title to describe it how you normally would.

As an example: Your listing here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/108419415/beaded-hibiscus-distressed-brown-leather

I would title Bracelet Hibiscus Pewter Leather Beaded Distressed Brown Double Wrap Flower Button Pink Coral Turquoise Boho Tropical

Try not to use generic terms as the first words in your title. For example: beaded, distressed, vintage, etc. These are just adjectives. Put those AFTER the keywords. Your item IS a bracelet. It IS a hibiscus. It IS pewter/leather. Understand what I mean?

This will go a long way in getting your shop some views. Also, copy and paste the title so that it is the very first sentence in your description. Then describe your item how you normally do.

I havent just "heard" this tip. I've applied it and seen results immediately. So much so that now I have more sales than I can handle. It works.

As a new business I'm sure you want to get the word out but spend little $$ to do so. The best thing I have done is to get involved with teams and making lots of treasuries....yes this does take time but well worth it. I notice if I skip a day in making Treasuries (normally doing 2-4 a day) my views drop down to 10-20 but if I do a few I'm usually around 100 views. I also try to switch around the teams I am doing the T's for so that I am not boring the same teams over and over again.

Here are my suggestions:

Improve your photos. This one is very nice and there are no distractions in the backgrounds.

Improve your tags. For the same bracelet, try these tags:
wrap bracelet
leather bracelet
bead wrap bracelet
green brown bracelet
boho bracelet
rustic bracelet
gold green bracelet
leather cuff
cuff bracelet
earthy

I haven't counted, so some might be over 20 char but you get the idea.

Find a method of promoting that works with your personality. I don't want to do Twitter, FB, or a blog - tried them all and they are not for me. Like Karen says, I find treasuries to be a good way to promote that I like to do, so I do it.

Add more items. The more items (especially with diverse titles and tags), the more hooks in the water.

Consider using the photo I mentioned as your avatar. I thought you made paper goods.

Interact - add more people to your circle.

The easiest way I have found to do T's: If you don't use Google Chrome you will need to install it. Go to Google home page for this. Then search Shmetsy and download it. It's been a while since I have done it so I don't know all the steps but in a nut shell after you download it to make a T-- in the top right hand corner of your screen there will be a little star. when you hoover on it will say Shmetsy Tools. Once you click on it you will have 2 options: Convo Sender and Treasury Maker. Click T maker then when the screen fully loads there will be an option "Send me to Etsy"...click on it. Your Treasury screen will now open. Now use a differnt tab other than the T screen to choose your items to go in the T. When you are on a shop's home page next to the $$ is a little circle just click on it and it will be added to your T. You can also click on the item and there will be an option to "add to T" but the other is so easy. Play with it some to get the hang of it...I'm sure you will (like us all) will have a bump or 2 but really it is so easy.
Then once you have Saved it go back to the star and click on Convo Sender. This will send a convo that includes the item featured and the T link to each of the shops in your T...just change the text in the message area as needed.
I create one now including your shop so you can see one and the convo.
Oh one more thing...you do need to spread out the T's through out the day so you are not sending too many convo's in a row...Etsy doesn't like that!
