How's your sales in August so far?

I've got only 2 sales in August so far. Very quiet this summer. Low views and feedback too.

I think people are enjoying their summer holiday very much.

How about your shop?

I had an awesome June & July (due to an unexpected commission, July was even better than December last year!). But August is so far looking to be my worst month for the last 2 years! This is mostly (I think) because due to July's commission, I've not had time to be working on new stuff, and therefore haven't been listing & promoting new stuff. It definitely seems to be the case that I get out what I put in, so I'm okay with this. I really can't wait to finish the commission pieces & get on with some new work, though!

It seems rather slow I got a sale 2 days ago though!!!:) My goal at the moment is 5 sales and that was number 2!

It's a different experience each year. Sometimes the summer is good for selling online, sometimes it isn't. In case sales are slow, I always try to take the opportunity and add more items, take better photos - to clean up my shop, so to say. Usually, sales are getting better as soon as school starts again.

Two sales in August for Christmas items...August is not too early to order ornaments for celebrating Advent! Both orders from overseas - One in America and the other in the United Kingdom.

It's always slow in my shop during the hot months. No one wants to buy a monster wearing a fur coat when it's a million degrees outside. As the earth cools and we approach the winter holidays I expect things to speed up.

It started slow during the holidays but now that they are over its is getting awesome. But i think that it is because i have new items.

I used to make only beaded items, but now i am doing also leather.

Before the holidays started it was mad house ..... than everything went quit .... now it is going along and i am hoping for mad house again ...... i am so ready :)))

Had my first 4 sales in my new Etsy shop in August :) August was nice. Also I learned so much lately, feels good.

August started off really well, but has been slow the past week. We have been really busy (non etsy / business) and blame the slow down on not adding new items and remaking / listing sold out items.
Some of our sales earlier this month were for Christmas gifts, so I am sure sales will pick up again soon.

August is going fairly well. I've had some nice large sales. 12 on ETSY with a few custom orders still outstanding and reasonable sales on my other sites.

Etsy views have slowed down a lot this last week.

August has picked up dramatically and I feel like the holiday rush is starting! Strangely, my views are averaging 50% less from last year. But as long as the sales hold up, I'm not complaining! Hang in there, everyone!

My August has quite good. I've sold 5 more items than last August, and there are still 10 days left in the month. However Saturday is my best day, and no sales so far today.
