I list when I have something new... Which is maybe every 3-4 days. Maybe I should relist on the days I don't have anything new.
It doesn't help that my 2yr-old daughter (and now her 2yr-old cousin staying with us) wants what I make and I have to make them one before I can move onto the next project. :p
I just made and listed little girls aprons. They loved it so much I'm making them one in Hello Kitty and Minnie Mouse stash fabric. :) Might as well use up the un-sellable lisenced fabrics...
I will list new items in batches as they are ready.
But each day there anything that sells is relisted (if there's another available) and there are also items that need to be renewed if they are within one day of expiring.
I had no idea that adding new listing everyday would affect my views. I list items whenever I have 2-3 new ones.. I am a fulltime Mom and only have time to make something when my girlies are asleep at night.. My stuff also takes some time to make. I also try to sell my stuff in galleries and on markets. When I see some stores having a lot of sales, I always ask myself, what am I doing wrong????
I am still struggling with photography issues, I take pictures of a few items, and then list them all in a day or two. Then I may have a few days break, especially if I am busy at my day job.
Haven't renewed anything yet, just made one sale. I have some material to make a similat item to the sold one, planning to do it today!
I do not have too many views and have no idea how adding new items affect them. When I list new things I usually post in teams to show them, it brings team views. Other views are 2-3 per key word so far......
I have been neglecting etsy for a week or two as im doing my first craft fair so preparing stock for this. I have noticed a decline in my viewings. i have began to list an item every day and views have gone up. from what i understand from what other etsians have said etsy algorithms are take recency of listing into consideration. so the if your listing everyday your going to be found more easily.
One new item and one renew everyday. My goal is to get to 100 items by April. I make way more than one item a day, but I think it is important to moderate the speed in which you list stuff.
Yes, recency is part of Etsy's algorithm ... so it's good to renew at least 1 item a day. Doing that is only going to cost you $6/month and chances are (if your photos and descriptions are pretty good) it'll be worth considerably more than that!
I've gone thru phases of renewing regularly and it really does seem to help. Starting last October, I got in the habit of renewing 2 or 3 items a day and kept that up thru the holiday season. It *really* paid off! Of course I listed new items too as I got them made. I've been keeping this going after the holidays as well and it's working very well for me. Just finishing up my Best.Week.Ever here on Etsy!
After posing this question I have started to try and make one new listing and one renewal each day. My views have only somewhat improved. The tail end of this month has been pretty slow for me. I'm still at over 100 views per day but it has dropped from 150-175 down to the low 100s. And I've had no new conversations regarding custom items. I'm hoping for more progress as I continue to do listings. I guess I'm looking at approx 12.00/month
I try to relist or list new items at least 5 times per day. More if sales are good since many items I have automatically relist. I do notice more views and sales when I list or relist consistently.
My game plan was to list a new item each day, but recently, especially this week, life has got in the way and this hasn't happened. I have sometimes renewed unexpired items, but not really noticed any improvement in views. Maybe I'm just not doing it consistently enough. I've just renewed my most popular item in terms of sales, so will be interesting to see if this is reflected in views or ( perhaps!) sales!
I try to list at least one new item daily. Between that, auto renew of sold items and relisting expired items, it gets at least one new listing in my shop daily.
Like others have said, it also depends on what you make. I'm lucky in that I can create new items daily so there always seems to be something new ready to go.
like alot of people are saying on here we are now going to list an item every day for the next month and see how sales go! I know a few other people who tried this and said it really does boost your views and sales.
makes sense though as the longer your items have been on the more they get lost amongst everyone elses items
I try to list or renew an expired or almost expired item 1-3 times per day. There might be a few more renewals if I sell something. During my peak holiday season, I'm likely listing/renewing 20 items/day.
Right now I am trying to list new stuff every other day. :)) I want to get to the point were I can do atleast one new item daily, that would be my goal.
i try to list/relist every other day. i don´t have enough items to list every day but i think every other day is ok for my shop. i work on two different routes.one day i list something new, the next day i try to post the on pinterest or wanelo and then i get a lot of traffic from there
I try to post at least every other day. I was doing it 2-3 times a week and I noticed that the wave method really wasn't working for me. I can only add products every couple days though so I add a bunch then save some for drafts so that on busy days I just need to hit publish but I am still steadily getting views. I have tried this only for the last week and I have already saw an increase!
