How often do you change your Shop banner?

I just change my shop banner from white background to a blue background. So I wonder how often do you change your shop banner. Do you guys think making some little changes of your shop, such as shop banner or photos, will actually help to boost your sales?

btw, I got really low sales recently, so I was hoping that making few changes of my shop can help to increase some views and sales. :(

About banners, I used to change my banner. But I think the best is to keep the one you love. Customers and Etsy sellers can easily recognize you with one banner. If you change too often, it's not so good, as I noticed. So I would stick to the best one ;-).
Having a clear banner, related to your shop, with the colors in your shop is also very important.

I think you have great sales !

I think small changes help, keeps things fresh.

I think changing photos is not a small change... it's a HUGE change :) Photos will help sell you the product. People will buy from seeing your item through a photo. So changes on a photograph are major! :)
Sometimes when a brooch doesn't get so much hearts and views in my shop I redo the photo. It can make a huge difference!

Your photos are beautifull! Wauw they look super neat. I think your banner doesn't match the quality of your photos. Just what Emma said, try to make a cohesive look so your banner matches your photos.

There are a ton of great designers on Etsy that you can ask to design a superb banner for you.

I have recently relaunched my shop so have been changing the banner as I have been learning more. I think tweaks to improve it are good, but fully changing it too often will confuse buyers and you want to be getting recognised. So then you need to keep some consistancy.

I've had this shop open for over 4 years and have never made a single change to my shop banner.

The only thing I do is on occasion put up an overlay on my avatar.

I've changed mine twice...once to replace the rather clumsy banner I had when I first opened, the second time for including the announcement about my CIJ sale. When the sale is over, I'll revert to my original, though I may change the background image from time to time, so there will be consistency in the overall look of it, but slight changes to keep it fresh.

Your avatar and banner are very important for branding!
So the best thing to do is NOT change them.
I do have some seasonal banners though (my banner with small edtions, like snowflakes for the Holidays).

I have recently changed my banner and this year I have changed almost all of my photos. I think it has improved the overall image of the shop and I have a lot more views, although I think this a result of tweaking with SEO as well.

I think it can make or break the cohesiveness in your shop. I used to change mine all the time, but now I'm trying to keep it consistent so I can add it to my brand.

I'm always changing photos because I'm never happy with them. I think I have changed my banner twice since I opened 4 months ago.

I love your shop. It flows really nice. The banner for me is a little distracting with the buildings in the back of your merchandise. I would probably go a little lighter in the background if that is something you really love but want to keep it. Just a suggestion. I have changed mine twice now since opening and thinking of changin again myself. LOL

I don't change my banner often. I've been trying to come up with the perfect banner and avatar for branding and I finally found a graphic designer who made me an awesome set that I plan on keeping. I'll have her do my logo soon to complete my branding. I swear she read my mind and pulled my thoughts together cohesively!

i agree with the others. your shop banner becomes your shop's identity. aka: branding. i have changed my banner once cuz i didn't like the 1st one i made. i wanted my most poplar product to be in the banner but my logo is still the same.
with that being said..i do overlay festive decorations on my banner, depending on the season. i feel it makes it more inviting for customer and gets them more in the spirit of the season (aka: buying season ;)

My banner matches my business cards. I began with a much lighter shade of pink, but when I updated the cards, the banner colors changed with them.

This is a variation on the business cards I had for my brick-and-mortar shop back in the late nineteen hundreds. (I love saying that!)

For me, the banner is my brand, my identity online. I like it the way it is.

Do what makes you most comfortable.

I'm on my third version of my banner now, but plan to stick with it. As I've refined what I want my brand to look like I'd settled on the current one as the best representation of my shop. The first two were temps along the way.

I'm still thinking about what to do with my avatar and may design some custom text for it. I sell a variety of items in my shop and I want to reflect that. :)

I am one of those who believe the banner is not that important. Unless it really is ugly that is. But for the shops I like, I couldn't tell you anything about their banners... they just don't register ! So I never change mine, although I might do it if at some point the pics were not representative of what I sell anymore.

I used a free one when I started, but ran across other shops that used the same one. I got a simple banner from an etsy seller a while ago, and plan on keeping it. I'm not a computer person, really, and I make lots of different types of things, so I wanted simple, with a prominent name. Easy to remember. I hope!
