How many views does it take?

So maybe I'm totally out of the loop, but I'm curious to know does it really take a TON of views to make a sale on something? Lately I have been getting decent views on particular items I have been trying to promote more, but no sales have come out of it... What's normal?
Then I ask myself, is there something that might be driving people away once they view my items, photos? Price? Shipping? In need of some advice or maybe help.

It takes 1 view to sell an item. The view of the person that is going to buy it.

Numbers of views have no relation to chances of selling the item.
I look at so many things in shop windows, but that doesn't mean I go inside the shop to buy them.

I just had a look at your shop. Are you licenced to sell Mickey Mouse products?
If no, you don't want to offer them for sale. That can bring you into big trouble.
You want to read up on trademarks and copyrights.

I agree with BeaG, Disney is notorious for being very aggressive about protecting their copyright and trademark. You don't want to make them mad or get their attention this way.

I only had like 35 views the other day and made a sale... I always thought I needed more more & more views but honestly those are just a number and it really just takes one person. :)

I tend to get paranoid about lots of views/favorites on an item that isn't selling too. No answer for you about that. But i agree with those that have already posted, I know someone personally who had a nice big lawsuit when she made mickey mouse themed cards and sold them (and ignored the first message from a lawyer demanding they be taken down). The kind of lawsuit that screws you over for life...

Well, I agree with BeaG, it does take only 1 view to sell a product. In fact, I would think that a lot of views and no one buying would make you feel a little inferior about your product. You just need to make sure that the views you are getting are people who are generally interested. You only have your listing to sell your product for you.

I think lot of the traffic on Etsy in general, comes from other Etsy members and not all of them are even remotely interested in what the item is.

One day I was on the front page and had 2000 views and like 400 favorites and no sale. Hehehe I took a screenshot of the stats because it was so funny to me.

Somedays I have tons of views and no sales, other days lower views and a few sales. You just never know.

On Fridray I listed some new items, one of them saled on saturday with only 8 views and no favourites, other items are in teams, viewed and favourited and no sales...
