How many views do i have to have to make the first sale??????

If 50 have favorited my items in a week is it many or few? What is the sign that your shop will work? many views, many favorites, in many treasury lists??

That is a lot of favorites for one item, especially in a week. That being said, favorites and views don't always equal sales. Sometimes I make a sale on an item with 0 views, other times I have things that just sit and sit. It just takes the right person seeing the right item at the right time.

Each shop is different, I've had 2 views on an item before, shortly followed by a sale. I wouldn't link the two together.

I haven't had any sales in this shop since I reopened two weeks ago but I've had another shop (jewelry) for almost a year. I've sold items on days that I got less than 10 views, but sold nothing on days that my views spiked.

Views are nice but it only takes one right buyer to get a sale.

Hahaha I know what you mean! I have this item that has over 700 views and 56 likes! That seems insane to me compared to other things in my shop. And I've still not sold it. lol https://www.etsy.com/listing/77650587/bird-mobile

There's no magic formula...people buy what the like when they can! Many times those favorites become a shopping list for later! :)

Simone has it right, you only need 1 view to get a sale. But it has to be the right view. Make sure you are promoting to your target audience and just keep chugging along. When the right person comes along you will make that sale!

My sales after a very long time happened last week and both were Christmas ornaments so I think you have the right items for this season. You sale is just around a corner I am sure of it :-)

As others said - it only takes ONE Right view - but those favorites get your shop discovered through Activity Feeds - so you're on your way to that first sale! Keep listing - keep promoting - and the right buyers will find you!

You just opened your shop. Congrats. Views do not equal sales. I have had days when I had 130 views and no sales and days that I had 10 views and had a sale. You just need that person looking for that particular item to get that sale. It can take time. It was four months before I made my first sale. Best of luck with your new shop! You are selling Christmas ornaments and that is right around the corner, so you will probably get those sales soon.
