How many items do you list at a time?

Just out of curiosity: How many items do you guys list at once? Have yous noticed if you post one or two at time vs a lot at once is better?

I've been chunking out my listings (recently its been ten at a time) by what I am listing. So I'll post all my adult hats at once, than I'll post all my cowls at once. I have baby items I'm going to be listing, so I'll be doing that group next. Not sure if doing 10 at a time is ok exposure wise, or if i should space it out.

I just do as many as I can, but I don't have a lot of time, so that usually amounts to 1-3 at a time.

I think I read it somewhere about only listing one at a time.

I usually list 1 - 3 the most. Making out the designs, taking pictures and listing take lots of time...

I list as soon as I have all my info ready - sometimes that can be just 1 listing at a time, other times I have listed up to 4 or 5. It's really just for my convenience rather than any strategic timing for the listing.

I agree with Wei. I list at my convenience and not with any particular type of strategy in mind. But I have started to rethink my renewals with the "number of times" a particular item gets relisted!

When I am not busy packing or testing things, I've listed a dozen items or more in a a few hours. I don't worry about having the title/tags/description perfect when an item is first up - an item with an imperfect listing still has a chance to sell. An item not listed has no chance to sell.

Plus no matter how much I work the first draft, the second one is always better.

I like to do one or two at a time. Sometimes I have 20 new items ready but I'll work on the listings and save them as drafts so I can spread out the new listings over a week or two. My thinking is that if my new items show up in peoples Etsy feeds (because they follow me or favorited my shop) it will be better to reach more people on different days and times than just suddenly have 20 items in peoples feeds one time because they will cycle through and then be gone.

I usually only list 1 a day even when I have many items ready. I figure it saves me from having a bunch of items expire all at once.

I've tried both. Posting a few (1-2 a day) or all at once (12 in one day). It doesn't make much of a difference. I still get the same views. Although I wish I could post a little later at night, this make a huge difference for me (timing is key!). I live in the Netherlands and my main market is the US, but the most busy time on Etsy is in the middle of the night for me. PLEASE Etsy, integrate schedule possibilities for listings!!!!

I usually make stuff during the weekend and then list them all at once. I usually get 0...2 views per listing :D

Have to work on tags I think or consider other times of the days for listing

I list as I go when my items are ready. This could be anywhere from
1-2 or 4-5. It does take a long time to get everything together, so I try to do it in batches.

I list about three at a time, when they are ready. But I like Katie's strategy as it makes sense. My thinking is that it will "overburden" those who are watching my shop, and a snippet or two here and there would be easier to read.

i try to spread my listings out. 1-2 to list / relist every day. that gives me a certain routine and keeps my shop fresh.

I think in the new year, I might be doing no more than 5 new listings in a shot and see how that goes for me.

I was being a horrible procrastinator this past year with listing new items. So that means I set a crazy insane goal of listing about 60 new items within about a 3 week span (all by Nov 6). For most people, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard, but I also got a full time job, so I'm now finding time on the weekends to shoot my photography, than a night to list my items.

So far listing 10 plus items at once hasn't really helped with bringing in the giant the views I hoped it would, so hopefully listing a couple over a few days span will help.

I lost one or two in the morning and one or two in evening. I used to list five or so at one time usually in the morning and my views would drop off by evening. Spreading them out gives me a little insurance that my views stay consistent throughout the day.

I list 2-3 at a time. I tend to take photos for 4 or 5 items at once, as my bigger quilts either get hung outside (in between the rain at this time of year!) or require bed space. I'm still dreaming of having a space & lighting to do photos at any time of day! Then I double-check dimensions and calculate shipping when I list.
