You all have wonderful shops. My first listings were on April 3rd and I have not made my first sale yet. I have been promoting and working on listing and tagging and SEO every day since that day. I am also working on being patient until that first sale. I wish you all much success.

My first sale came 3 weeks after opening. After that I made a sale every three weeks for about 6 months! Then things started to pick up.
It's really impossible to compare different shops' experiences - it depends on what customer base they may have started with, how much social networking they did even before they started, how they advertise, what they sell.
I think the bottom line for everyone is have patience, promote, and keep listing!
I made my first sale 2 weeks after opening and had 7 sales that first month. last month I hadvone sale but I was closed for 2 1/2 weeks while on holidays.

I Opened January 16th, had my first sale on the 24th ( but it was to an out of state friend) My first stranger sale was January 29th, and they began trickling in after that about 1 a week or so until the past three weeks which got very busy, I began to get re orders from customers and people my other customers had told about my shop, I try and promote a bunch, but word of mouth from prior customers has been my biggest boost. Just Had my 35th Sale today

About a month for my first sale, back when my shop was almost nothing but jewelry - and it was actually a bracelet that sold the DAY I posted it, so someone must have seen it and fallen in love with it! After that about one sale a month until I took a bit of a hiatus from creating and actually adding new items.
Upon re-launching my shop 3 months ago, it took almost 9 weeks for my first sale. I actually posted on this forum for advice, got some AMAZING words of wisdom, reworked my shop a bit, and I'm averaging about a sale a week right now - and that's without heavily promoting myself for the moment.
