How do you list a LOT of new items?

My computer was in the shop for about three days (Ahhh horrible!!!). So I spent that time making lots of new products to list in my shop! (yay!!!)
My question is..... what is the best way to go about listing them? Should I only list one or two a day and promote those alll over? Or should I list all 5? I am afraid if I list them all at one time and promote them all then they will get lost in the shuffle and by tomorrow or the next day be gone... (down the lists I mean...)

What do you do when you have a LOT of new items to list?

Hi Bobbi,
I like to list a couple each day. My time on the computer is short with so much other stuff to do this is all I have time for. It takes a good hour or more from start to finish, from photo, descriptions and the actual listing of the item.

Well, that's not as important now, with relevancy. You won't disappear that fast. But if you're concerned about getting lost in the categories, I'd space them out.

When I have a lot of new items to list, I sit down all at one time and make all of my listings, then save them as drafts. Then you can choose as many as you'd like to list throughout the day, without actually needing the time to sit down and create listings each time.

I always spread out my listings. This way they'll each have a moment to shine as a new item on the home page and in any of the team forums that I list in. Plus, it's easier to promote one item at a time. It's hard to convince anyone that something is "special" if it seems like you're doing mass production. : )

If I have a bunch of new items to list then I generally try and do much of the photo taking, editing and listing creating all at once. Then once everything is drafted, I will usually publish one or two listings a day.

I also like to list a couple at a time. I will often add several items at once but keep them in my "drafts" ... until I'm ready to post them which like I said, is usually two at a time. (Hope that made sense?) :)

Ahhh you guys are good to save them as drafts. I always tell myself I will do so, but as soon as I'm done with the listing I get all excited and publish it right away. So some days I will post 3-4 listings, and the next day I could have 0. I really need to change my strategy for good and go with the drafts...

You can save them as drafts on etsy? I never knew that.... now that's a good idea! So all the work is done, you can just go on a publish and promote at other times!

I just list them when I can even if it a bunch in one day. If you don't have them on there, you can't sell them.

Oh YES, Bobbi!! As soon as you've edited your photos, uploaded, worked on your description, tags, etc...right after you hit "preview listing"...you are given choices: Save as Draft .... OR .. Publish. For me, that seems to work best. :)

Yes I do list a couple of items a day & watch on the views & likes. Then may be I list some on friday/ saturday it is when I get the most views!

I always tell myself that I will save multiple listings as drafts and will post 1 each day. But I just can't wait and I end up publishing all the drafts at the same time :)

Does it really work to renew an item each day? I go back through my listings to renew older ones, and I also try to edit and think about the best search terms, but I am not sure what the best approach is. Ideas?
I, too, tend to spend time (like today) photographing and writing descriptions, etc. then releasing new items one or two at time.
