How do you get cancelled order out of orders?

I had a customer place an order and want more ribbon than she ordered. I cancelled her original order (refunded entire amount) and created a new custom listing. My question is how do I get the old order out of my open order list? Do I have to mark it shipped to get rid of it even though it wasn't? It shows fully refunded and I would have thought after a week or so it would dissapear. It's been there for over two weeks now.

Hmm, that's odd. If you canceled it properly it should have moved over to the canceled tab in your "orders" section. You may have to contact someone at Etsy.

After refund you must go to your order and cancel it may you forgot to do that .

You have to officially cancel it with Etsy (you will get your listing fee back and, if you renewed the listing, also the renewal fee).
There's a cancelation button.

First you have to refund the order. Then you have to go back in and cancel the order. Just giving a refund won't do it. And even then, it will still show for 2 or 3 days while Etsy processes the cancellation. You have to go back and cancel the order; otherwise, you won't get your fees back either. I know, so annoying!!

How would that be annyoing?
My customers pay my through PayPal. How would Etsy know I refunded them? And why I refunded them? I will of course have to ask Etsy to cancel my order. Makes total sense.

It's annoying to have it keep showing up in your sold orders screen, not the process involved!
