How do I list a colour guide for my shop?

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on this. I want to create various options for my wedding guest books. I want people to be able to personalise an item by choosing their colour of ribbon, paper and font. There are too many pictures for me to add this to each listing, and I don't think I'm allowed to create a listing that is not for sale. Has anyone got any ideas on how to do this?

Other people have listed something thats just for fabric/color reference
like here:

is a color option, you're told not to purchase it. You could do this but of course combine fabric/color choices in this one listing and put a link to it in your guest book listing if that makes sense (:

You could create a form in a free online form tool like surveymonkey.com and provide a link there. You can add photos.

You can get your customers to fill up the form and select options. You can just put a note that only paid orders will be processed.

How about photographing all the ribbons side by side and displaying them all in one picture with a code on each color ? For the font and paper color, you could link to a page that has a digital color wheel, for example those used for setting up websites with hexadecimal codes.

Oh thanks Anne. That's a good idea too! I like the idea of having codes for each colour.
