How did l get on best-deal.com?

I was just looking at my shop stats, when l noticed that one view came through ''best-deal.com.'' l'd never heard of this site, and l was wondering how an ltem of my jewellery got to be on there? Does anyone know how the site works???

Have you ever posted a coupon code anywhere or done any marketing outside of Etsy for your shop?

Most of those sites use bots to crawl the web to find their content.

Sometimes I wish the shop stats were more detailed. I received a YouTube.com hit today...I have no idea how..??

I have shown up on several sites as well and as I understand it is a SEO. The tags of your item or or title.

It's a great thing. More exposure.

Bots are the things that look for the tags. From what I understand.

A 'bot' is short for 'web robot'. they crawl the web looking for content.

Unfortunately, there are sites out there that will take content from various sources, blogs, online shops, websites etc. When you click on the photo, hopefully, it will lead to your shop, so it might advertisement for you if you don't mind. The worst part though, is that Google will 'punish' you for duplicate content so you might rank lower in searches or not seen at all.

I get a lot of random sites like that in my stats. One time i got the Asian version of youtube and I had never posted to that site.
