How can I make these better?

Hi folks,

Thanks again to those of you who convinced me that my white cards on white backgrounds were hard to see. I'm now using a brown background and I think it works much better.

Now I'm wondering how best to photograph my cards made from original sketches, while still showing that the cards come as a set. According to the Online Labs and Seller's Handbook, it should always be obvious from the first photo that the listing is for a set. But, my problem is that the viewer can't see the details of either of my drawings the way I have them now.

Please let me know if you have ideas to fix this, especially if you have a listing of your own like this that I could look at! My two "issue" items are below:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/108930969/winter-squash-cards-set-of-4-prints-of

Thanks!
:) Athena

Re: How can I make these better?

Personally, I think the photos are too dark on the brown background and I like the last photo the best (the white background with the brown packaging). Since the sets come with brown envelopes, what if you stacked the 6 prints on top of the 6 brown envelopes, tied them with the twine, and then photographed them on the white background. I know you would only see one design on top, but the rest of the photos can showcase each of the different designs/drawings. The brown envelopes in the back would make them pop on the white background. Just a thought...

Re: How can I make these better?

In my other shop, which doesn't have any current listings, I sold some stationary sets which I photographed on a white background. Don't know if you would like the look, but if you check out the sold items, you can see how I set them up:

Love your drawings by the way!!

It's hard for me to see the photos. I would suggest that your main listing photo be a crisp closeup of just the image on the card. I would bet that most people shopping for cards would focus on the image on the card first anyway :)

Re: How can I make these better?

Thanks, Laurel.
I had my main listings for my cards as you describe when I first started. Everyone told me to change it so people could tell it was a note card. Now I just have to figure out how to balance showing what the item is and showing the details on the cards.
