How Do You Ship Your Orders?

So, I hate the shipping part.. I order my mailers and printable labels online and print them out, cut them individually because of the size of my mailers (cant just peel and stick) since jewelry isn't very large, and it seems to take more time then I'd like to spend. Anyone have advice on cutting down shipping time?

Re: How Do You Ship Your Orders?

I print labels via PayPal and cut/tape them to a bubble mailer. It doesn't take me very long.

Back when my craft room was organized I had a separate shipping area. The bubble mailers were stacked nicely. The jewelry boxes, stickers, address stamp, customs forms, pens, scissors, etc. were all in reach. And I had a nice empty surface to work on.

Here's a picture of how it used to be:

If I have a lot of orders at once I would print all the shipping labels and invoices, then tape the label to the mailers, than gather the packaging and each item and set them on the coordinating envelope, and then individually package each one so that I don't mix anything up.

Re: How Do You Ship Your Orders?

Shipping isn't quick for me either. Back in the day (last month - ha!) when I was lucky to get more than one sale a day, I realized I need to streamline my routine a little. I haven't done that yet because the sales stopped coming mid-December.

My routine up to this point is to print my label through Etsy shipping (best thing ever!) and cut it down to size. My packages are carefully wrapped in white tissue paper and tied with pretty string like a gift. I slip a mini thank you card, business card and coupon code under the string, slip it into the shipping envelope and attach the label with packing tape. It probably takes me 10 minutes to do one package! (too long, in my opinion) I try to make a nice presentation.

When I had more than one item going out in a single day I did what 1337art did - I stacked everything with their label and envelope so nothing got mixed up. (and double checked the printed packing slip before sealing it up)

Re: How Do You Ship Your Orders?

I ship using stamps.com and I order my labels at Online labels four labels per sheet. I get my bubble mailers online and I just print up and stick on and ship out sometimes I call for a pick up and if I am going out anyways I will drop off. Easy peasy.

Boxes my hubby works for a box company so I get them there and I get the USPS Free boxes I order them online and get them shipped to house I like their flat rate padded Mailer as it is water proof and it is 5.20 to ship anywhere in US this is helpful if it is over the first class weight I use this as I get the free envelope and 2-3 days shipping. the size is nice 9 x 12.5

I have everything set up in my Etsy room I call it I have all of my stuff my TV and my bird someone to talk to.
