Re: Holiday Boot Camp Week One: Set a Goal

My goals - are being done - I have re-vamped my shop - the pictures (at least the ones in the #1 spot) have been redone - used photo fused to help - my tags and descriptions have been updated and my shipping prices are in good order. The only thing I have left is to decide if I want to do the international shipping on every item or not - I have it on one section in my shop (soft cloth books) - only because I did have an order from Australia and I had to do some research on it - so that one I know...the rest not so sure. I joined a new team to help me promote my shop better and to get advice on things to help my shop be better at getting views and sales.

Re: Holiday Boot Camp Week One: Set a Goal

My goal is to increase my views and of course more sales. With that being said, I was looking for my postings yesterday, made it clear to page 100 and still did not see a single one of my postings. How do I get my postings to show up more?

Re: Holiday Boot Camp Week One: Set a Goal

My goals are to "decorate" my shop for the holidays, update tags and titles, add at least 10-25 items to the shop, purchase holiday shipping supplies (tissue paper, ribbon), make gift boxes and tags, and maybe -- maybe create some holiday theme photos.

Oh, and sleep. ;D

Re: Holiday Boot Camp Week One: Set a Goal

Our goal is to list more items in our shop, and improve our outreach and promotion of our products. Step one, I guess, would be to to some shop "clean up" and rethink our listings, policies etc.

Re: Holiday Boot Camp Week One: Set a Goal

My two main goals are:

1. take better photographs of my scrubs and products that come in jars. They can be difficult to photo and show the texture accurately.

2. finalize attractive holiday packaging for soaps. I know many clients are buying as gifts and I want to encourage them to purchase from me. Gift wrapped items that save the client time are a good draw.

Re: Holiday Boot Camp Week One: Set a Goal

My goal is to make 3 new unique holiday decorations and post them in good time for the holidays. They will be made of fabric...that's as far as I have got.

ETSY: thanks for week 2's ideas: after reading them this morning, I just decided to use my sister in England as my Holiday Boot Camp buddy. We already inspire and motivate each other by Skype and email and she checks up on whether my goals are being met. In return I am trying to get her to start an Etsy shop.......she's a hard nut to crack on that one! Is there anyone over there in eastern England to give her a nudge. From here in California it's a long reach.

Re: Holiday Boot Camp Week One: Set a Goal

My goal is to double sales and learn how to better get noticed as I'm a jewelry seller, so we are in stiff competition!

I am, like many people here, taking better photos, listing more often, making new stuff, and reading or watching tutorials to better my crafting and online selling skills.

Go check out my shop and see if it's working!! :D

Thanks!

Re: Holiday Boot Camp Week One: Set a Goal

My goal is to increase sales and grow my customer base this holiday season! I have a fairly popular blog, and it is getting a little face lift in the rebranding process to coordinate my blog with my online studio. I am really pushing and incentive-izing my newsletter, as well.

If I wanted to set a numbers goal, my hope is to have 200 new subscribers and 80 sales this holiday season. I know the sales number is high, but I sell pocketbook-friendly, custom bracelets and they sell really well in general anyway.

I can't wait to see how everyone does with their goals!

Re: Holiday Boot Camp Week One: Set a Goal

Really enjoying hearing about all your goals!

I signed up to Bootcamp and have worked out my goals as:

- make and list a range of Christmas cards, tags, gift boxes and thank you cards (already done some tags and boxes)
- Finish my About page
- Stock up on shipping supplies
- Order a Christmas banner / avatar
- I'm doing a Christmas market locally on Nov 30th so need to build up stock for that

Ps - Sue, I'm in Eastern England so can nudge your sister for you!

Re: Holiday Boot Camp Week One: Set a Goal

I set a sales goal of 300 by the end of the year. I need to increase that because I'm already at 288. So hopefully I will be able to hit 350 by the end of January when the holiday sales drop off.

I plan to upgrade my packaging for the holidays, adding some special touches that are holiday themed.

Create a holiday banner and avatar for my shop.

Send out an email blast to my followers on mail chimp detailing the sales I will be running throughout the season as well as highlighting the past year's successes.

Create a holiday post card and mail it out to all my shoppers, thanking them for their support and purchases over the year.

Create some listings and take some theme photos that are more holiday related for a few of my listings that will be in a special holiday section of my shop.

I have my work cut out for me!

Re: Holiday Boot Camp Week One: Set a Goal

My goal is to improve my photographs & SEO so that my shop has a more curated, cohesive look. I'm going to experiment with photo lamps, natural light and hangers vs model. Or both?
I'd also like to begin a blog and keep going with my social media channels!
Maybe I've bitten off more than I can chew? :P
