Help with Instagram?!!

I am new to etsy and I am using instagram to spread the word about my store. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to get followers that are not spam?! I need followers who will actually click on my etsy link! I would greatly appreciate the feedback!

Savannah

Re: Help with Instagram?!!

In my experience with social media, the best way to advertise a product is not to advertise it. You can talk about it. Get excited about it, and occasionally even show it. But rarely. The less people know about it - the more they will want to know about it! I don't use instagram for my items, but I would suggest finding companies that are doing well and see how they use it. You will probably be surprised to find they rarely to never show their products.

Thank you! I have been trying to use it more as a blog. Casually showing the rings on my finger during my day to day activities! Like swimming or reading a magazine!! I hope that helps!! :)

Re: Help with Instagram?!!

I know someone that uses instagram and it totally helps her. I think she gets followers from FB, and the like. I don't have one, but it doesn't hurt. Trying never hurts. :)

Re: Help with Instagram?!!

I use my instagram pretty casually, but I post a lot of pictures of projects I'm working on, finished items, and my daily life. I think the best thing to do is just tag your items for what you think people would be searching for. I often tag my pictures with my shop name, #etsy #knitting and #whattheitemactuallyis. I've gotten a few sales from it. You can check mine out if you'd like @angieeeface
