Help to find my stuff on Pinterest

Hi everyone!

I've had a couple of views come from pinterest this week for two different items. I've looked for them on pinterest (just curious, I want to see them) using a few different terms in the search but I can't see them. Is there a simple way to find my stuff?

Hi Maya! I've had the same experience but unfortunately, unless they tagged your image with your name, it's really difficult to find etsy stuff on Pinterest because Pinterest lumps everything from etsy together under one tag (I think Pinmarket) - boo! If you have google analytics (I'm just guessing you're using stats) that might be able to tell you which item was on pinterest

If you use Google analytics, you can find the link.
To do that, you'll need to go into analytics under "traffic sources," "referrals," then click the blue link "Pinterest" within the table under referral sources. if any links come up, click on the little gray and white box on the right hand side of the link (at the end of the table's cell), and it should pop up a window or tab with the photo that was linked.
That sounds convoluted, but once you do it a time or two, it gets much easier!

I just noticed the new sharing tool on here that says "Pin it". I'm assuming this is for pinterest? I don't know anything about this website yet, is it useful?

They have a waiting list? Do you know about the new pinterest pin on our listings? This means we can pin each other as well as favouriting etc doesn't it? Will be much easier for promoting each other! I had a go at stumbling a while back but it just seemed such an effort but if we can do it through Etsy then it'll be easy as pie! : )

I have been on Pinterest for some time now, and really love it. Not only for promoting but it also is really easy and fun, and great place to find inspiration. The new Pin button on Etsy is great. Just click on it and it will be put on a Board of your own choice with the title and price on it already. Quick and easy. When you go to shopstats on Etsy, and you got traffic from Pinterest to an item of your store, you can check that item, by clickining on Pinterest on your traffic sources, it will display then which item it got the traffic and is put on Pinterest by someone or if someone clicked your the item you put on there yourself. Hope it makes sense? It is one of the fastest growing social media websites, very easy to use, really fun, addictive, and I am happy Etsy made it so easy now to use it! Just request a sign up, and in a few days you will get an email from them that you can start using it. Have fun!!!!

I am able to see the listing that was pinned (which has now expired), but I can't find the pin on Pinterest. I would like to view the pin on pinterest so that I can see what people are saying about it - is there a way to track back to the pin? I do not think the image is being credited so I am not able to search for it by my user name.

If you are not on it yet you need an "invite" its easier than the waiting list. Anyone with a current account can invite you. Convo me your email address and i'll send you an invite.

One thing you can do to try and track your Etsy pins:

Check out your Shop Stats. If Pinterest shows up as a traffic source, click on it. Check out the Landing Pages at the bottom of your Pinterest inbound link stats page. See which of your items appear as landing pages, then search for those items using keywords on Pinterest.

This doesn't always work, but can help ID where some of your items are.

You can also search for your website directly by typing the URL:

http://pinterest.com/source/mywebsitename.com/

(and fill in your website name, obvs.)

For instance, pins from my website show up when you go to:
http://pinterest.com/source/backgarage.com/

I wish there was a way to directly track pins from particular Etsy shops, though.
