Help am I doing something very wrong :(

Can someone please give me some advice on my shop.

I opened it end of last year 2014 and have had a lot of views but only 4 sales?

I hand-make everything and only make one of each piece, and I use quality materials, and my hand sewn pieces take a couple of days at least to make, but am I doing something wrong, In respect of the low sales so far xxx

Any advice will be greatly appreciated

This must get asked once a week. You've been open about 5 months and have 4 sales. That is about on par with most Etsy shops. It takes time, perseverance, work and re-work to get any business whether a brick & mortar or online shop to work.

Forbes says that 8 out of 10 small businesses fail within 18 months. The odds are against you. This is should tell you what type of effort you need to apply to make things go. Be smarter than ever before. More savvy. Listen to people. Be proactive and work smart so you don't burn out

Your work is really beautiful and prices seem right for the amount of time that goes into your pieces. I would work on your photography to bring out the quality of your work. Some are a bit blurry and you can't see the beauty of your product others could be brighter. I would also use the same background for the first picture of each piece to give your shop a more cohesive look.

Read articles in the Etsy Seller Handbook Archive. Especially read about SEO and being relevant in Etsy searches with tags and titles. Yours look like they could use some work.

You have tags like 'relieves anxiety' and 'self love'. I'm not an expert in the jewelry / healing stones area, but I don't feel like most people would come to Etsy and type either of those phrases into the search bar. I'd use things like 'handmade bracelet' or 'infinity sign charm', etc.

First of all you have been open about six months and have five sales so you are doing something right. I would revisit all your photographs and try to make them consistently portrayed, in focus and photographed in natural light. A white box is something that would be a great investment to get consistent natural light in your photographs. You have several listings that are out of focus and some that have yellow tint. I also am confused by your titles which are just single words strung together and your tags are single words. Spend some time educating yourself on SEO and how to use it effectively. Your titles should have keyword phrases that match how a buyer would search for your item and the tags should match as closely to those keyword phrases as possible. I recommend making treasuries to get broader exposure within the Etsy community and use social media to broaden your exposure outside of the Etsy community. Patience and constantly working on your shop is what you need to do now.

I love your jewellery! the only advice i'd have is that your photos are in a few styles i personally prefer this listings photograph so maybe you could try refreshing your images using a white background. If you don't already is suggest twitter, Facebook, instagram, tumblr etc at least once to twice a week to keep people up to date with your work. I am from the uk also and find it hard to get views in the uk so this could also be any issue (not sure how to improve that if theres a way). Don't give up though your jewellery is lovely.
