Help, What am I doing wrong?

I am new to esty, and I am reading everyones suggestions, and trying things, any help or suggestion to help make my first sale?

Be verrry careful using licensed fabrics like that - some of the copyright holders will make sure your items get taken off Etsy. Disney is especially rough on people about that sort of thing.

You might also use Housewares as your top level category search - Needlecraft isn't a bad place, but if I'm looking for pillowcases, I'm not going to go look in Needlecraft, I'm going to look in Home Decor.

Most importantly, you need more items, and it might not hurt to switch pics on your earliest items to the white background.

i agree on what erin said and would like to add:
1) add a shop banner, that adds a personal touch
2) use longer titles, more keywords = more chances to find you
3) use at least 3 of the photoslots
4) add sizes, not everyone might know what queen size is
5) consider shipping worldwide
6) work on your pics (make sure there are no disturbing shadows)
7) be active on etsy (promote in teams, acquire followers, etc.)
a shop is a lot of work but if you are willing you can achieve a lot

Lindsay I hope you are aware that 'duck dynasty' is a trademarked brand and you will need a license approval to sell anything that has that brand name on them. Just a heads up, as there are many threads about shops being closed due to this.

I don't think your photos are bad, but maybe you could have the first photo show the pillow cases on a bed with the pillow inside. But just remember if you do this, be sure to say Pillow not included in your description. Before I read your titles I thought they were sleeping bags. You could look up 'pillow cases' on etsy and see how others display their pillows to get some ideas.

I agree with Jacky- I would definitely put a pillow inside.
Also, fill out your About section. People like to read your story...a little tidbit about how you came to find your craft, what inspires you, how your shop name came to be, etc. It lends to the handcrafted feel of your shop.
Fill out your policies section. It will save hassle and headache down the road if you ever get a grrrr-worthy customer (hopefully that never happens, but....). Take a look at other seller's shops who have high sales and views to get some ideas for your policies.
Regarding tags: I would probably add to some of the cases "gifts for men" or the like as gifts for men are a smaller area on etsy (not that country girls won't like them too!).
