Heavy Item Shipping....

Anyone here ship items around 30-35lbs? If so which service do you use? Any advice on how to ship such a heavy item remotely inexpensively?

If it fits, it ships! A USPS flat rate box would probably be your best deal if your item fits. The maximum weight for a flat rate box is 70 lbs. The largest flat rate box costs $15.45 within the U.S.

Re: Heavy Item Shipping....

I have shipped several items and I only use USPS. They are by far the most affordable and you really get everything you need as far as I am concerned. All my items were medium size and they were very accomodating too! One of my items went overseas and I had no problem with it reaching its destination. I hope that helps. I did go to UPS once and they scared me right out of there with their domestic prices so you can be sure it is going to take a very long time for me to go back. :)

I guess it depends on its size if it is larger then the largest flat rate box I would use probably UPS or a company like that if it is super big I heard of people using Gray hound which I have no idea how it works but I heard it is cheap for like furniture.

Re: Heavy Item Shipping....

i used to ship boxes that were large and weighed 30-40 lbs. all the time--and I always used UPS and had very few problems--I probably shipped over a thousand boxes a year. UPS will pick them up, too--I think I paid a weekly fee for that service but it was quite cheap and saved me much time and gas...
