Getting in Wedding Registry?

Maybe I missed this but was curious how you go about getting an item in the wedding registry? This is a new feature and don't want to miss out on this if there still is a way to get an item in the registry.

From what I read we don't have to do anything, all things are still searchable and they can add any item to a registry. That's how I understand it anyways.

I did a test run to see how it works and not sure if I like how they have it so far. The choices are limited for each category but you can do a search for a certain item. Why I thought there was some secret to get your item in one of the categories in the registry.

Oh I think I thought something different. I agree, the new search catagories are horrible and only bring up a few things then say that's it. I don't think those are the only things people can add to their registries though, they should be able to search all of Etsy to add anything they would like. I would think that's how it would work anyways, makes the most sense.

The shops in those first few pages of the search categories will benefit the most. But yes there is a search option to shop for anything.

I think I missed it completely there is an Etsy wedding registry now?

Yup, registry blue link in the upper left hand corner of the Etsy page.

From what I understand in the article, it sounds like the registry is linked to the Wedding section directly, so if your items aren't listed in the "Wedding" category, they won't show up.

Ah, that would make sense. Going to check that out and see if that makes a difference.
