Getting No Views Now

What could I have possibly done that I have gotten ZERO views since 8/30. I admit I'm not a big drawer of views, but for the last 2.5 years GA and now these shop stats, I have always way more than absolutely no views at all. It is the same in my other shop, no views.

How can this happen in both shops, since 8/30, no visits?

I have just visited your shop, viewed your 4 featured items and favourited the next 4 down so that should show. At least then you know the counter is working. No other tips tho. My shop has been slow recently. I am constantly refreshing the stats, just waiting and refreshing.

I would suggest changing the title of this item. Instead of sparkle sparkle, maybe put the colors of the quilt. Not too many people will be searching by using words like sparkle sparkle. But maybe table quilt blue and whtie with sparkles ???? Just a suggestion. I am still learing about SEO too.

Perhaps tweak your listing titles.

Yes my views have been way down also but not zero. I am trying to rework all of my titles. I look at those shops that get very high views and try to figure out their strategy with titles, tags, etc.

Wow, I should have asked you all sooner :) It now shows 1 shop favorite, 6 listing views.!!

Now see, I did "tweak" (or so I thought) my titles a few days ago, so maybe that is why I lost any relevancy. I guess I just "untweaked" :) I'll go work on the titles again. Thank you all so much for taking a look to check on the stats for me and the feedback on the titles.

Pearle, what does the MA traffic mean? I guess I need to spend a few days continuously to read all of the treads on the SEO changes.

In GA if you look at location...there will be a view from Massachusetts, US

Thank you again - I think all of your shops look great - I think my pics look too flaky. Anyway I didn't know in GA I could get in deeper other than knowing the country; the MA view won't show until tomorrow, correct? It takes 24 to show doesn't it?

My views also dropped way down to almost nothing on 8/30, then picked back up for a couple days, but back pretty low this holiday (U.S.) weekend. Good advice from BlueLeaf about seeing how successful shops with similar items list their pieces. Also, I change tags based on time of year, current trends, etc.

Your pictures are clear and vivid in colors, change around the wordings in the titles should get you more views.

Thanks, I'll go read now. I had read a few ears ago a handbook and SEO and the number of characters etc that show up and how to word your titles. I had put in a lot of time with. I have another, and I branched this one off of it - DesertSkyQuilts - it is primarily bed quilts vs. this one with runners etc. I've had decent success I think between the 2 shops - I figure about 70 sells. I know everyone is confused about the relevancy. Thanks for your feedback.

I think your quilted table runners are lovely and I know how much work goes into them. My Mother is a quilter.

Check your tags and titles for relevancy. Also check for simple things like misspellings. In this listing Tie Dye is misspelled.

I found that in my shop when I re-list things I double check every thing and sometimes I amaze myself with what I miss when I first list an item.

This one is super cute. I agree with all the above and one other thing could be done. The pics on the 1st pg are great, but some on the second page could stand some retaking. I should talk. I have some of that on my to do list, also.

You can get your views for today right now...You click on today's date on the calender and hit submit and it will show you all your views for today. Even if it isn't highlighted. I always look at today's views...today. I never wait until tomorrow. ♥
You should play around in GA....you can get right down to the town and even deeper if you wanted.

HandmadeTableLinens, Your work is gorgeous! One thing that I noticed is that you've not listed anything for a few days so that might be part of the reason.

I'd also suggest that you play around with your titles and tags just slightly... put what it is at the beginning of the title. For example, if its a 'quilted table runner' then start the title off with that.

If you look at your shop in gallery mode, you will see the important words in the title. These need to say what the item is.

On this particular item

the first words are 'where are my sun glasses' which really isn't doing you any good as a title.

I would use 'quilted table cover' or 'quilted table mat' or something similar as the opening words in the title. Then repeat the title as the first line in your description.

Your tags should describe the item as well. So some good tags would be 'table cover', 'table mat', 'quilted cover'.

Drop the 'gift' tag as everything on Etsy can be considered a gift.

To come up with other good tags, take a good look at your description and use the key words from that as your tags.

And don't tweak all your listings at once. I would do a few at a time and see what happens.

I just read in another forum someone had more than 400 views today. Who knows if there's some problem with the shop stats but I definitely need to promote more XD

I think a lot has to do with time of year and in the UK its been the last few days before the kids go back to school and most have been hunting down school uniforms and return to school stuff.

Lets hope it picks up when they are back in school.
