Fun Way To Create Store/Team Traffic During Slow Sales Months

~Organize a giveaway with your teammies or Etsy store owner mates.
~Open up a treasury to offer a giveaway.
~List 16 donated items (put these items into reserve status in each store listing).
~Ask treasury viewers to leave a comment to be entered into random name drawing.
~Post the giveaway closing date (and other pertinent entry info).

I am in a team that has organized a giveaway, but is a little hesitant to do it. They were all wondering if the treasury giveaway brought very much more traffic to the shops in the giveaway and if it would bring in potential customers.

For all of you that have done a treasury giveaway... have you seen a big jump in traffic / sales because of the giveaway?

Bill, I started a giveaway treasury 2 days ago and it has reached 800+ views and almost 400 clicks. I have had a big jump in views/favorites and the other shop owners have as well.

Hi Regina - I read through this entire string and took a look at your team. Here's my question . . . the treasury give aways look like they generate lots of views, but is it generating sales?

I've given away some of my products and am not opposed to this, but wanting some info on how this promotion type is working at generating sales. I've not read a post on how this has generated sales, only read how this had generated lots of views and favorites.

Any sales successes from your team that you could share?

Hi Misty,

Personally, I didn't notice a big jump in sales directly from the treasury giveaway. I can't speak for my team mates regarding that though. But non the less, I think it's a great opportunity to generate additional interest in the shop.

We're looking for active members to join our team though. Even if you're not sure if you want to participate in the summer giveaway, come join the team and we can all share our Etsy stories and tips :-)
