Frustrated with Facebook...

I only recently opened my shop so I am still very positive about the future...However, Facebook seems to hate me.

Does anyone have a good blog or tutorial on how to really "work" a facebook page.
My personal page is fine, I can naviagate all of that quite well now. But as soon as I opened the facebook "page" for my shop I suddenly feel computer illiterate. I can't even access my own Etsy page from the shop!

Any help appreciated, Thanks!!

i am having the same exact problems and more. many more people have liked my page than is showing up liked on the page. How can that be? Does anyone know? Also how can I make my page a recommended page?

I have had my page for a while, but still find aspects confusing. Because my "likes" show up on my personal page and my business page. I tend to switch to my business page before I comment on other business pages because it will show my business avatar, not my personal avatar.

Also, I think if you add a page to your favorites, you can interact with that page from your business page. Try this by going to a different page of which you are a fan. On the lower left corner there is a link for "add to page favorite" or something similar.

If you are working on your fan/business page from your personal account (using Facebook as yourself) then you can do things like suggest to friends, add apps, etc. There is a tutorial that FB provides - try looking through that.

There are some good teams that help with Facebook also. Might want to join a couple of them, I learned a lot.

thanks! I did just read that the only "likes" that count are from personal pages and not business pages.

I'm glad to read this and will look into the FB teams. I really wish I had signed up with my fan page being separate from my personal page because I can't post anything from my mobile phone to my fan page. Since I've only signed up with FB using the same email address for my personal and fan page I am only given one address for texting and sending multimedia pictures to and that goes on my personal page. I don't have a data plan with my phone so I can only post via text or mm. Also, when someone posts a comment on my fan page and I reply, my personal page profile pic shows up. I hope there's some way I can unlink the two without having to start a whole new fan page.

I tried to do this and when I made the post it showed up as with my fan page profile pic but then when I linked back so I could post personal page things it changed the profile pic from all my old posts, including the ones I made from my fan page. I'm going to try your other ideas though.

I am not very good with FB and I think it is very user unfriendly or maybe it is just me not knowing what I am doing. I also switch to my business page to comment on peoples FB pages so it shows my avatar. It is good to know that I am not the only one having trouble with this. Hopefully I am doing it right. My daughter is a fan and she tells me everything comes across ok so maybe it is working. :)
