Following up with Local Stores

Hi all,
I currently sell wholesale to one local store and I'm trying to expand to more. Does anyone know the etiquette for an appropriate amount of time to wait for a response before following up? I emailed a store and received a response that she would get back to me the next day. A week later I emailed to check in but didn't receive a response. Now another week has passed and I still haven't heard anything. Is it too pushy to email again?

Re: Following up with Local Stores

Once a week is about the most you would want to do on following up with anyone. I used to be in outside sales & I know my customers didn't have the time to get back to me sometimes because they were swamped with their own business.

Keep trying. The worst thing that could happen is they never respond. You could always stop by the business & do an in-person follow up.

I agree, I do once a week follow ups. Good luck :)

If they're local, and they don't respond within a week, then just stop by and say hi and talk to them. sometimes they have so much on their hands/minds/etc. that they forget.

i usually follow up 3 months later too to see if they need more for their shop. making sure they're always stocked ;)
