First Sale/Coupon Code didn't work

Hi! Success! i finally had a sale (or actually TWO) from my friend on Etsy!! I had her buy it off Etsy even though she lives 2 blocks from me and gave her a free shipping code. However, it didn't work for her -- still charged her cc (she said she couldn't find a place to put it in checkout). My Dashboard says, in the Revenue field, that it did subtract the code (if you do the math) but her order status says it did charge her.

Can anyone explain this to me??

I have looked through the Handbook AND searched coupon codes in team topics, too!

I've only had one item sale where a coupon code was added, and it broke it down like this in my email:
Item total:
$10.00 usd
Discount:
-$2.00 usd
Subtotal:
$8.00 usd
Shipping:
$2.00 usd
Sales tax:
$0.00 usd
Order total:
$10.00 usd
The buyer used this coupon code: FBSALE

In your transaction email, it'll tell you if a code was used. Did you receive your transaction email?

Yup, I got it -- and it says the shipping was applied. So the revenue is correct, if shipping was applied. So where do the buyers put the coupon code? She's not an Etsy gal -- I wonder, can people buy things without having an account? If so, maybe she doesn't allowed access to the coupon codes??? I have been meaning to use a coupon code toward a charm purchase, maybe I need to just see it myself!

And Thanks!! I am like in shock still about the purchase b/c she actually bought $145 worth of stuff as a made to order, offline. And she's giving me plenty of time to make. I am thrilled :)

When you add something to your cart, you have the option of adding a coupon under the "how you'll pay" option. You click on the blue text that says "Apply shop coupon code". It's pretty easy to miss!

I'm not sure if you can buy something without an account, but if you can, i'm sure there's still a way to apply the coupon code.

Wow! That's amazing! Congrats :) I bet you'll get a ton of orders once it gets cold out!

Thanks :). I am hoping so ... It's funny because I don't want to be "too" busy but yet, busy enough ... we shall see what happens this coming winter/xmas season!!
