I finally got around to posting items in Jan 2015 even though I had opened my shop in 2012.

I have found that it is extremely helpful to have keywords that are in the title to be in the tags as well, so that the listings show up better in Etsy search. I have had a lot of views for simple & competitive keywords such as "edible wedding favors" where my listing comes up on page 1.

It is also important to not fill your title with irrelevant words, just for the sake of SEO. The title has to be relevant to the product, so that buyers are not turned off.

I am currently in the process of opening my shop and this couldn't have come at a better time. One question I have regarding tags is how many words to put into one tag, and how that could be or not be beneficial. For example, if you're making decor for a coral and aqua wedding, would you put "coral and aqua wedding" as the tag or should you include several variations of that (coral wedding, aqua wedding, coral, aqua, coral and aqua, etc)? Looking forward to it.

I wish I could be there but I'll be working all day that day. Is there a place that I can do some research on keywords. I've been trying new things all the time to build more orders. Also how about category? I've been wandering where I can put my items. Any suggestions?

There are many papers and "books" selling on Etsy claiming to give advice on current SEO and how they work. I find these products have old information that has not been updated after I have purchased and using them for a bit. How do I know whether it is good information or not when all listings have 5 stars with recent sales?

Question RE: Keywords~
A day after I have listed product I will search one of my main Keywords. My Product I will find some where on pages 8 and up to the end. Products that were listed weeks before I listed mine will show up on the first several pages. Why is that?
