Featured in a Treasury- Notification? Question

When you are featured in a treasury, does it automatically message you and tell you that? Or is it up to the treasury maker?

Also, the other way around. When I make treasuries, do I need to message the sellers and tell them I featured their items?

I think it is automatic. I've never contacted anyone that I featured in a treasury, yet I believe they saw the treasury and most commented.

I thought it was too, but I got a notification from one curator telling me that I was featured . Then I got featured again by someone else and the notification was a completely different message then the other. They basically said the same thing, but in an entirely different way.

Not sure what that means.. :/

actually, I think you receive a notification in your feeds. but when you receive a lot, it's sometimes difficult to see it.
until now, i didn't notify people that I featured in my treasuries, but I think I will.

I always notify people it just makes it a little more personal.
I have only been featured twice but both times they contacted me.

An automatic notification isn't sent to you but the treasury will appear in your activity feed - this is how you find out you were featured or the curator of the treasury sends you an email. If you want someone to know you featured them you have to send them a message letting them know.

It is not automatic.When I make a treasury I send a message to each seller(I copy and paste one message with a link to the treasury).
If people send me a message I will almost always go check it out and comment,favorite etc.But if they don't I don't usually have time to look for it in the circle thing.In the year I have been selling on Etsy I have been in well over a 1000 treasuries and it takes a lot of time to go out of my way to find them so I recommend if you want to make sure the sellers you feature check it out,message them.

It is not automatic. I once find out that I was in a treasury by searching for treasuries, using the keyword 'papierdier' (that's my shop name).
I prefer a notification, too :)!

I like getting an email too... I often miss it in the activity feed, especially when I am on my phone & I try to return the treasury when I can... :0)

It will show up in your activity feed. If you have much activity, it will probably be buried.
I like to notify people. I think it's a nice thing to do and helps promote the treasury.
