Facebook and Twitter followers

Just wondering...does anyone notice that they have a certain number of Facebook or Twitter followers and then the number drops by one or two, like people "unliked" your page or stopped following you?

I really don't care, but I just think it's odd...Am I the only one that notices this sometimes?

I guess the reason I am noticing it from Facebook is because I am having a giveaway so the people have to like my FB page in order to enter...

Yeah, it's funny. I've noticed stuff like that with my twitter. Last week, I had a woman follow me. I took a look at her web site/work/blog and followed her back. Not even a day later, I noticed she un-followed me! I wondered if it's just a mistake or a tactic to get people to follow back. I have definitely noticed companies or brands doing that. They will follow you and if you don't follow back in a day they unfollow you right away. who knows, but I wouldn't let it get to you!!

Sometimes the reason for the one here one there drop would be because people accidently hit the like button when it was already liked. This will mark it as unliked and can easily be done on accident. Happens especially during a giveaway because you are asking people to like.

Look in the drop down box in the upper right hand corner of your page, I think it says promote your page or something like that. Hit invite friends and look through the list to see which friends are not highlighted. You might be able to find who unliked your page that way. Just invite them again. Usually, they will return due to it only being an accident.

The only other reason would be if someone felt that there were too many posts. But very rarely that is the reason.

I really don't think that happens too often, but sometimes.
I wouldn't worry too much, it probably is an accident :)

I had recently posted that I only needed 4 more likes to reach 400 and suddenly my likes went down by two lol! I knew it was just people getting excited and hitting that silly button again.

I later asked fans to share my page and they did so very willingly and likes went up.

They will come back :)
