Etsy Front Pagers

I've seen a lot of people post a "this item made it to the front page of etsy" image under their product (after making it to front page obviously).

I'm just curious why people do that? Is it THAT hard to get on front page that people celebrate it, or does it actually help buyers wanna buy their more? Or any other reason I'm not sure of?

I understand that your views hearts and circles go WAY up after being on front page, but would posting that image help that as well?

I haven't been on front page yet, so if I do, I'm wondering if that would help me by posting it :)

I think it generally is that hard to make it to the FP and when you do you want to mark the item that got you there with a "hey! This item made it to th FP" Woohoo!

It took me 3 years to get on the front page.. Some people are there all the time, sometimes several times a day. I did get more than usual views, but no sales, and I added the badge to my listing but it doesn't really help.

I don't think the badge helps sales...but is more to impress other sellers ;P

FYI - yes, getting to the front page is not easy. Think how many thousands of sellers and hundreds thousands items there are on Etsy!

Yes! It's THAT hard to get to the front page. I've noticed a few shops repeatedly on the front page, but by and large, it's not evenly distributed.

I agree with angel9, yes it is THAT hard to get on the front page. And it does seem like the same few shops are always on the front page - but it used to be worse than it is now. :P
