Etsy Card Reader question

Does Etsy offer a chip enabled Card Reader? I have been having problems with my current Etsy Card Reader. I see that Square is now offering a chip enabled reader, but I like how the Etsy reader links to my shop.

I do not know anything about this subject, but I am starting to learn because I am thinking about getting a card reader...I did not know Etsy had a Card Reader.

Hi, Kathy, I use the Etsy mag strip reader in a pinch but Etsy didn't offer a chip reader the last time I checked. You can ask Etsy admin for another mag strip reader and ask if they offer a chip reader.

I use the large Square chip reader/touchless reader. ($49.00) I switch to my Etsy reader if the card doesn't have a chip. After I ordered the $49 unit Square developed another reader, which is both a chip reader and a mag strip reader but not touchless. ($29.00)

Bev, are you able to sync the Square reader to your Etsy shop when you use it? I didn't see anywhere on there web site that Etsy was one of there synced vendors. Yes, I saw that new reader for $29.00.
