End of May

How was everyone doing here on May? I hope it's good! : ) Since is end of the May and beginning of the new month, what is your plan for next?

1) I'll like to list more new posters into my store.
2) And try on search ads! which I never try before still. Any tips?

All the best everyone! :)

cheers,
pk

Re: End of May

I'm going to focus more on putting my artwork on functional/wearable objects, such as t-shirts, tote bags, cups, ect..

and I'm trying to obtain a screenprinting screen!

Re: End of May

I had hoped to reach a very ambitious goal of 200 sales by the end of May...I'm currently 13 short.

My June goals:
-get to 225 sales
-website and blog launch on June 22 [my 5-month-aversary of my shop on Etsy!]
-10 new items

Re: End of May

sales at the begining, got me all excited...then a 2 week quiet pause with nothing, then a flurry. Sales up on last month BUT not where I hoped be. May is the wedding organisers month, so good for me but quiet!

Re: End of May

I didn't sell much in May, but:

I made a new product as a custom order and I'm going to make more of them (ringbearer pillows), I almost finished a custom order, took lots of photos throughout the process which I might make into a video and definitely a listing. I thought about blogs, I looked into doing a giveaway in July and I'm kind of thinking about starting my own blog. I signed up at pinterest and increased my circle here on Etsy.

Oh yes, and I increased the number of listings in my shop (because there haven't been many sales recently)

Re: End of May

May was interesting for me. Being the first FULL month I was in business I think I definitely learned a lot. This past week has been especially good for me. For June I want to continue tweaking and perfecting my shop. I want to get better at time management, and i want to buy myself a desk because I just moved into a new apartment with MUCH more room!

Re: End of May

May was good! It is only my second month at Etsy so I have a lot to learn. For June my goal is to have 15 sales for the month, to list all of the inventory I currently have, to finish 4 projects that I've been staring at, and to experiment with vacation mode (I'm going out of the country for a week).

Re: End of May

May was just like April.... No Sales. This was my second month on etsy and I too learned alot. I get lots of views but they don't translate into sales.

June has to be my month. I will be painting on other surfaces to give my shop some variety and continue to promote like crazy. I am trying the search ads starting today and will do it for a few weeks and see how that goes.

Wish you all a successful June!

Re: End of May

May has been good. I plan to continue watching and adjusting my prices as I go forward. My goal is to sell half the amount at double the price.

Re: End of May

Selling ceramic art pieces is always kind of slow. I made 2 sales in May and I am content...not overjoyed, but content. I am always so happy when someone buys a piece of my work for their home or for a gift. I just LOVE to see that sales column filled with a number!!

Re: End of May

May was my best month so far. I'm hoping to make June even better by reaching 275 items in my shop and increasing my sales. I'm having surgery at the end of the month so I will be making sure everything is in order before then.

Re: End of May

May was my best month yet here on Etsy. Half of my total views from the 7 months I have been here came from May, which is mind blowing to me! I went from 700-ish views in April to 2,800-ish. Isn't that crazy?!?! All my hard work has paid off.

In terms of sales, May brought my first sale that wasn't a friend or family member, which I have been waiting for for a long time. But, revenue wise, it has not been a good month. The items that sold were my small cheap items that I sell to fill in the shop. I'm hoping this changes soon, or at least when it starts getting colder.

My goals for June are too keep up the amount of views, favorites, and sales that I got this month. This month I was running ads through Google (they gave me a coupon), and a chunk of my views were from that, and the coupon has been used up, so I know I'm going to have to work extra hard to keep up the exposure. Also, with facebook changing the way fans see page's statuses, that will cause me to work harder as well. So as long as the numbers stay roughly the same I will be happy. :)

Re: End of May

May has been my best month this year, and only a little lower than my best month ever (October last year). I've noticed that my sales come in at the ends of months. Payday?

Re: End of May

Seem like May was the best month for many shops! That was great! But end of the months seem super slow for me. Hope June is superb! :)

All the best to everyone here!

Re: End of May

I just checked, but I got more in sales in May than I did last November & December combined. Wow, that's sad and cool at the same time. (though now I've most certainly jinxed myself)

As for June I want to work on a couple more items. But more so I want to finally change over ALL of my photos to my new background and then slowly (VERY sloooooooooooooowly) revamp my descriptions so they aren't boring as hell and sound more like my shop policies. (yup that's right, the ONE thing in my shop I'm proud of is my polices)

Re: End of May

May was not so good for me. I've only had one sale - and that was yesterday, on the last day of the month. :(

I hope June will be better.

Re: End of May

I've been around for a few months and still haven't gotten any sales. I'm learning a little everyday, and hopefully June will bring good luck. I recently studied up on SEOs and I'm already getting more views. We'll see.

Re: End of May

May was also quiet as April with just a few sales.
My plan for June is putting several of my furniture pieces in a local boutique
as I believe people are just not wanting or able ow willing to afford shipping just now.
I plan to do a craft show a month starting in September and get connected with my local community.
I'm still going to work my Etsy shop as I love this community of support and I
know and believe the economy will turn around and customers will return to
buying on-line after they've finished enjoying the outdoor Fairs, Festivals and
Craft Shows that I think take away from our Etsy business in Spring/Summer.
At least for me and my furniture. It's going to be an awesome year.
We all need to keep positive and keep thinking and working different angles.
I gain so much from reading y'alls posts and I thank you for that.
