Does PhotoFuse work for me?

Okay, so I know that stark white backgrounds are what gets people into treasuries, and when I just use white paper I end up with a mess because of the nature of my product. So I started using photofuse today to remove the backgrounds completely. Personally, I'm NOT feeling the results on most of the pictures. Could you take a look for me please?

My opinion is that the white background works fine but your items would "pop" more if the focus was more clear. Are you using the marco setting on your camera? If that's the best you can do with your camera, you could use picmonkey.com (or any other program like that) to sharpen your images and increase the contrast. Looking good, though!

It's actually the depth of field. It was a look that I was going for because I like the front of the object to be in focus more than the back. It looked good that way before I used the photofuze app. : /

I see what you mean... it's almost like the app makes the whole image look hazy (not blurred, like I thought at first). I like how bright it makes the background, though. Maybe just keep doing it the way you were, but with more light or greater contrast?

Hiya i also have problem with my photos still working on them and hopefully i get it right soon , i agree with Karen also there is some shadow on some of your photo just my thoughts.

Personally I do not like PhotoFuse. It did to your photos the same it did to mine. So areas got too white and I thing the look is too harsh.
I also agree with Karen about the pics looking blurry.
Have you played with the white balance? You said you use white back ground, but most of your photos look like they have a gray background…
I really think you should think about how you can make it all less messy, because it does detracts from your product.
Have you tried playing with different qualities of with background? I would try to use a reflective white background (you can find it for sale here on Etsy, or you can just use an extra large white tile). I think it might give you a little something extra an also will allow you to clean around your products better.

This is also my problem. ;-)
Maybe play with more lights would be good : light box, day light lamps, reflector, white balance, EV...

PhotoScape is a good, free photo editing software you can use for quick fixes. Plus it has a lot of neat filters and effects (which probably wouldn't be good for Etsy listings). It's a good alternative if you don't have or want to use Photoshop.

I have photoshop, but I just struggle to use it for removing backgrounds.
