Hi!
Though I am bit new to Etsy, But I have now added about 70 items in my shop, I have received this advice before also, and now I too feel that I should have two shops, One for cute stuff and other for decor.

Please help me decide, is it too early for two shops?
Is it a bad idea??
Easy to manage etc. etc.?

Any tips would be helpful.

Thanks in Advance.

Re: Do you own two Shops????

Great!
Thank you all for the wonderful tips
.
I think it is better to go with two shops and manage and distribute time for both, both types of items are a part of my heart I can't do away with either. Also with no sales, I'm not sure which will pick up.

So sleeves up and I am ready to put extra effort to work this out.

Hope this works out for me!!
Off to plan for my second shop!

Thanks again to all!

Re: Do you own two Shops????

I have more than 2 shops but focus only on 2.

One "does better" than the other so I use that one to support my real passion... art and photography (in my other shop) =)

"BloomingPoppy" and "CraveBuyLove" are my main shops... =)

Do what works for you and good luck!

Cheers,

Re: Do you own two Shops????

Etsy is coming around on the multiple shop issue. They have promised that soon we will be able to manage multiple shops with one username.

That should make things a lot easier for us. But what is meant by "soon" I'm not exactly sure.

Re: Do you own two Shops????

I've been wondering if I should split my shop in two. I make fused glass and also gemstone jewelry. I think my style is similar for both and my customer base is the same for both. What do you think?

Re: Do you own two Shops????

@JewelrybyStaceyAlysa Your items are beautiful! I think the backdrop and props that you use help tie things together, then again, if someone is only interested in the gemstone jewelry they might not notice it in the midst of the fused glass.

I make jewelry as well and sometimes I feel like I have different styles going on. Some of it seems very earthy to me and other items don't - I wonder if it has a disjointed affect even though it is all jewelry. Does anyone have an opinion on that? Sometimes it's hard to judge my own stuff!

BlueLeafJewelry, to me your shop looks great!
May be you can section your items by style if you like.

I was just worried that all the views and hearts that I have will be gone when I move the items to a different shop.......

Agree with CassyzCutlez, BlueLeafJewelry's items all fit together nicely.

I hate to lose all my momentum and have to build a new shop up from scatch as well, but better now than six months from now...
